Know all men by these presents that I John Terrill of Milford in the county of Newhaven in his majesties Colony of Conecticut in New England for and in consideration of the afection and parental love I bear to my loving and dutifull son Nathan Terrill do give and grant and make over unto my sd son Nathan Terrill my share and Right and title and proportion which I have in a tract of land known by the name of New Milford situate in the county of Newhaven: my share or right being in the whole commonly known by the name of a whole share or twenty four shilling right as appears of Record together with all the privilidges and appurtenances unto the sd right belonging to have and to hold to him and his heirs and assigns for Ever: however it may hereafter bee divided and bounded and taken up: of a free absolute and Indefezable Estate of Inheritance to his own proper use for Ever: and further of the sd John Terrill do for me and my heirs and assign to and with my said son Nathan Terrill and his heirs and assigns - Covenant and promise that my sd son and his heirs and asigns shall Quietly and peaceably have hold use and Injoy the above granted right as part of portion: att the value of one hundred pounds in cash: without any let or molestation hereby from me and my heirs: warranting to secure and defend my sd son against all and every person or persons whatsoever that shall lay any Legall claime unto the sd right for Ever In wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seall in Milford this nine tenth of June in the year of our Lord 1717.
