To all Christian people To Whom these presents Shall Come Know yee That Gamaliel Terrill of Milford in ye County of New Haven in his Majesties Colony of Connecticut in New England Yeoman Do for & in Consideration of my Honoured Father & Mother John & Abigail Terrill of Milford aforesd are by ye goodness of God alowed to live to good old age for which favour I pray God make me Thankfull, & my father by Reason of old age & other Infirmities not being able [to] provide for his own Support or ye support of my Mother, & I accounting my self as in duty bound, according to my ability to Relieve them in there old age, Do for & in Consideration of a good Security Given to me from my brother Josiah Terrill of Milford aforesd That he ye sd Josiah Terrill from Time to time take ye Whole & Sole Care of our father & Mother aforesd During yr Naturall Life so as yt they may be honourably Maintained & supported in there old age which Is to my full Satisfaction & Contentment Have Granted bargained & sold and by these presents Do fully freely & absolutely Grant bargain & sell unto Josiah Terrill aforesd and to his heirs & assigns for Ever severall parcells of Land all Lyng within ye bounds of ^ sd township yee Milford abovesd, one parcell of Land Lying in a place Called ye New West field containing Eight acres & a half be it more or Less Bounded & wth highway Easterly wth ye Land formerly Thos Fords Southerly with wth [sic] a part of sd Lott Now their Samll Terrill Land Westerly wth Land formerly Daniel Gunn Northerly & also one percell of homlott Land Containing about Two acres & half be it more or Less butted & bounded with the home lott Land of Serjt John Botsford Easterly wth a highway Southerly, wth ye Samll Terrill Lott Westerly wth ye Samll Brisco Land Northerly, and also one parcell of Meadow Lying in ye place Called the great Meadow, Containing about three acres be itt more or less butted & bounded high way Northerly & wth Benjn Pritchard Meadow Easterly & wth Thos Tibballs & ye Creek southerly & wth Newtons Meadow Westerly, And also all ye above sd Gamaliel Terrill undivided Lands in Milford aforesd To Have & to hold to ye sd Josiah Terrill his heirs & assigns for ever, To his own sole proper use benefitt & behooff for Ever and further the sd Gamaliel Terrill for himself his heirs Executors Admirs Doth Covenant promise Grant & agree to and wth ye sd Josiah Terrill his heirs & assigns in Manner & form following Viz: that att ye Time of ye Ensealing & Delivery of these presents he ye sd Gamaliel Terrill is ye True sole & Lawfull owner of all ye above Granted Premises and stands Lawfully seized thereof in his own proper Right in Fee Simple Haveing in himself Good Right full power & Lawfull authority to dispose of ye same in Manner as abovesd, In Wittness wrof he ye sd Gamaliel Terrill hath hereunto sett to his hand & seal The twenty second day of March Anno Domi 1721 In ye seventh year of ye Reign of our sovereign Lord George King of England etc:.
