To all people to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know Ye that We whose names are hereunto Signed and Seals hereunto fixed namely Danl Terrill Senr of Milford, in ye County of Newhaven, in ye Colony of Connecticutt in New England Husbandman and Ruth Wheeler late of Woodbury in ye County of Fairfield and Colony aforesd Widdow now dwelling in sd Milford do for valuable Cause [ens]uing thr unto Give and bequeath unto Danl Terrill Junr Son unto ye abovesd Dan Terrill and Grandson unto ye sd Ruth Wheeler and for his Encouragement for a livelyhood and part of his Portion the several parcells of land and Meadow here described all lying within ye bounds of sd Milford which was formerly ye land and Meadow of John Clark late of sd Milford deceased, Namely one parcell of land on Beaver pond plain four acres be it more or less bounded Easterly with ye Highway or Common and with ye land of Saml Clark Junr Northwardly and with ye land of Saml Bris[coe?] Westwardly and with ye land of John Botsford, Timothy Botsford and John Rogars Southwardly. One other parcell of land in ye Westfield in Quantity about two acres within a Fence att a place usually called Barn Lott bounded with an Highway Eastwardly and Northward & with ye land of Saml Clark Senr Southwardly, & with ye land of Sergt Jno Camp Westwardly. Also one parcell of land in sd Westfield by ye Sea side usually called ye middle piece in quantity two acres and an half be it more or less bounded wt a Highway Northwardly and with ye Sea Southwardly and wt ye land of Mr. George Allin Eastwardly and
Westwardly also and also [sic] one parcell of Meadow in sd Westfield att ye Meadowland so called in Quantity about two acres be it more or less bounded [with] ye Sea Southwardly and with ye meadow of Mr. George Allin Eastwardly and with ye Canfields land and Swampland Northward & Westwardly. Also a parcell of Swamp land about two acres joyning to this sd parcell of Meadow as yet undivided from ye Swamp of ye Successours of ye above sd John Clark deceased who was ye natural brother of ye sd Ruth Wheeler this parcell of Swamp in ye whole as undivided abt six acres bounded with ye Meadow formarly called Farmer Clarks Southwardly and with ye Swamp belonging to Botsford Eastwardly, with ye Successors to Timothy Baldwin decd Northwardly and ye Swampland of Nathan Baldwin and Canfield Westwardly. All which parcell of land & meadow above described with all appurtenances & Priviledge thr unto belonging or any wayes appertaining ye sd Daniel Terrill Junr himself, his heirs and assigns shall have and hold possess and quietly enjoy as a good and indefeasable Estate of Inheritance without any Lett or Disturbance from us ye above sd Danl Terrill Senr and ye abovesd Ruth Wheeler our heirs ~ Exrs or Admrs forever, and further We ye sd Danl Terrill Senr and Ruth Wheeler abovesd do Covenant and promise for our selves and our heirs to Secure & Defend ye sd Danl Terrill and his heirs from all legal Claims and Demands that shall be hereafter made to ye sd parcells of land and Meadow by any person or persons whatsoever and for ye full Conformation of ye Premises have sett to [our] hands and Seals this Third day of June in ye sd year of ourReign ofSovereign George of great Britain King Defendr of ye Faith etc. and in ye [year] of our Lord Christ 1717.
